Service Description

This 8-session course begins by elucidating the concept of prana, the vital life force that forms the foundation of all yogic practices, and its role in fostering physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual evolution. Combining philosophical and scientific insights with hands- on practice, this course offers a comprehensive exploration of the subtle body. Session 1: The Self & Our Systems Session 2: The Power of Breath: Swara Yoga Session 3 & 4 : The Art and Science of Pranayama I & II Session 5: Mudras: Psychic Gestures Session 6: Bandhas: Energetic Locks Session 7: The Chakra System: Psychic Centers Session 8: Integration of Practice, Science and Philosophy Over the span of eight sessions, you will deepen your connection to your subtle body and gain the tools to integrate transformative practices into your yoga journey. You will have plenty of opportunities to have your questions answered, and engage in meaningful discussions and further reading to keep you intellectually stimulated. Duration: 2-Month Course (8 Sessions), 16 Hours in total of In-Depth Learning & Practice Dates: Feb 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & March 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd Every Saturday, 10:30AM-12:30PM GMT Location: Online (ZOOM). Participants retain lifetime access to recordings. At the end of the course, you will: - Gain a deep understanding of prana and its transformative impact on physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. - Understand the philosophical, theoretical, and scientific foundations of pranayama, mudras, and bandhas. - Recognise the connection between ancient yogic practices and the nervous system, as well as the endocrine and respiratory systems for holistic health. - Master pranayama, mudra, and bandha techniques to balance, direct, and enhance prana in your yoga practice. - Activate and balance the seven chakras, optimising subtle energy flow and overall health. - Develop a personalised practice combining ancient wisdom with neuroscientific insights for lasting self-awareness, balance, and growth.

About Ruki: 
Ruki is a yoga teacher with training in Hatha, Ashtanga, Rocket, and Tantra yoga. Her in-depth studies encompass yogic philosophy, psychology, somatic therapy and mindfulness. Ruki pursued a Masters in Neuroscience, and worked as a cognitive neuroscientist at King's College London. She integrates Eastern and Western perspectives in her teaching, bridging modern science with spirituality. She is travelling and teaching at yoga studios around the world, as well as offering online yoga classes and courses. She stays up to date with the scientific research, deepening her understanding of the mind-body complex and promoting physical and mental health in her students.
